MD, MPH, PhD Volker Harth (ZfAM) opened the final round and thanked all the project partners involved for their cooperation in the e-healthy ship project.
The results of the project were then presented:
- the data on the state of health of seafarers on board merchant ships based on the scientific surveys in the form of questionnaires and the examinations on the test ships of the Hamburg shipping companies Döhle and Roth
- the new health modules integrated into the "Cloud Fleet Manager" software from Hanseaticsoft, including pharmacy and medical logbook
- the e-learning platform "crewhealthy" developed by ZfAM with training courses, quizzes and tips of the day on nutrition, sport, sleep quality and stress.
The participants were also asked to share their individual learnings from the project as well as adjectives that describe the project in a conclusive way.
Currently, even in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic, there is a need for maritime medicine on board. A possible follow-up project was discussed. The project partners expressed their interest in further cooperation.
