Attention for e-learning platform

The "crewhealthy" learning platform developed within the e-healthy ship project is attracting interest from the maritime industry.

The e-healthy ship project had not yet ended in August 2021, when the first maritime industry players based in Hamburg already expressed interest in the "crewhealthy" e-learning platform for seafarers developed in the project. Its contents were assessed as a valuable company health promotion measure.

The innovative research project "e-healthy ship" officially came to an end on 31.12.2021 after a 51-month project period. However, the team of the Maritime Medicine Working Group of thel Institute for Occupational and Maritime Medicine (ZfAM) continues to work on the topic of (digital) health promotion beyond this time.

PD Dr Marcus Oldenburg, Project Manager, ZfAM:
"We are constantly updating the content on our moodle-based e-learning platform and are already fine-tuning new, innovative project ideas to digitalise, improve and simplify health management on merchant ships. In this way, crew members on board will receive the best possible health care and support."

"crewhealthy" holds a wide range of health tips around topics such as nutrition, fitness, stress management and sleep quality but also on how to cope with the effects of pandemics for seafarers. Users also have exclusive access to learning courses and playful formats such as quizzes on health topics.
